The flu vaccine is made up of inactivated, non-infectious versions of the flu virus. As is true with any vaccine, the goal is to expose you to just enough of the virus so that your body starts to develop antibodies\u2014or good proteins in your body that identify and fight bad things like viruses and bacteria.<\/p>
